Weekly monday Shibari event at Milkyway Tokyo

Toro Rope Salon is a weekly space for everyone interested in exploring the art of Shibari; tying for emotional intensity, power exchange, and sensual connection. We welcome on this community any respectful free spirit who want to dive into the realm of altered states, sensory extremes, and the unapologetic exploration of the human condition.

Rope class

During the event we will learn a Shibari tie. Whether you are a complete beginner or have some experience, classes cater to all skill levels. You can bring your own ropes or use ropes available at the salon to rent for free.

If this is your first time joining this event, please read carefully below the general guidelines and rules for attendance. 

General guidelines

▶ Event language.
During the event, the main language is English.You don't need to know Japanese to attend. Sometimes there are some Japanese joining the even, but most people joining the event are non Japanese. The event class is in English.

▶ No dress code.

▶ RSVP Attendance.
Please email me ( toroshibari@gmail.com ) to reserve your spot. Don't come to the event if you have not reserved your spopt before hand. Please indicate the date of the event you intend to attend and the number of persons attending. Please, only attend this event after you have an attendance confirmation email from me.

▶Rope salon equipment
・ Multiple suspension points.
・ You can bring your own ropes or use ropes available at the salon for free.
・ There are two full body mannequins for rope practice available.
・ Whips, paddles, floggers and other impact play equipment.
・ Cosplay and dresses to wear for play.

▶Free bar drinks:
・The entrance to this event include free drinks. IMPORTANT: You may not tie or be tie (including self-tying) after drinking any alcohol.

▶Rules for the Space:

  • No entry for people under 20 years old.
  • Tying under the influence of alcohol is strictly prohibited. DO NOT drink any alcohol if you plan to tie or be tied. This includes arriving to the event after drinking.
  • Taking pictures or videos is prohibited, but can be allowed in certain cases. Taking a selfie is ok. Taking a picture of rope on a mannequin is ok. Any pictures including people other than yourself, including other attendees or staff of the event are strictly prohibited. In the case that you would like to take a picture or video of the instructions for a tie, please check with the instructor, and if the answer is no, the answer is no.
  • Full nudity is not permitted. Genitals and nipples must be covered.
  • Suspensions are only permitted between people who enter Milky Way together. You may engage in floor play with people you did not enter with. This rule applies even if you knew another attendee before this event. You still may not engage in suspension unless you come together to the event. If you are arriving separately from your partner, please let the organizer know at the door the name of your partner. You may only suspend with this partner.
  • Neck rope in suspension between attendees is strictly prohibited.
  • Play involving any body fluid (squirting, pee, blood, enema play, spit, etc.) is not permitted.
  • Respect of consent, identity, pronouns, and personal space is expected. Do not touch
    others without permission.

▶ Rules during performances:

  • Taking videos or pictures during the performances is not permitted in any circumstances.
  • Please remain quiet during the performance.
  • Performances may contain kink activities in addition to rope. Some examples include, but are not limited to, wax play, impact play, and edge play. If you have any questions about the contents of the night’s performance, please ask the organizer of today’s event directly.
  • You are allowed to leave the event at any time if you feel uncomfortable with the contents.
  • Performances are not the Free Play part of the event. Please save any solo or partnered play for after the performance.


Repeated violations may result in exclusion from future events.
